For nearly three decades, I’ve dedicated my life to the art of drum making. From my early days building drums at KD Custom Drums, through my time at Premier, to co-founding British Drum Co, every chapter has shaped the way I think about sound, design, and craftsmanship.

 

To me, building a drum has never been simply about wood, metal, and hardware. It’s about character. It’s about creating an instrument with its own voice, one that inspires the player the moment the stick meets the head. I’ve always believed the soul of a great drum lives in the details: the grain of the timber, the precision of the bearing edge, the balance of the shell, and the way every component works in harmony.

 

After years of building for other names and other brands, the time has finally come to place my own name on the badge. KEOUGH DRUM CO. is the most personal chapter of my journey, a reflection of everything I’ve learned, everything I value, and everything I believe a great drum should be.

 

Every drum that carries the KEOUGH DRUM CO. name stands for experience, honesty, and a lifetime devoted to the craft.
